Quiet and Tranquil

"First of all, I ask that supplications, prayers, petitions, and thanksgivings be offered for everyone...that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all devotion and dignity. This is good and pleasing to God our savior, who wills everyone to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth." 1 Timothy 2:1-2

As I read this above passage, I was struck by this simple part: "It is good and pleasing to God that we lead a quiet and tranquil life in all devotion and dignity."

What is quiet and tranquility? It's an interior disposition of heart and soul; it's a silence that is enveloped in trustful surrender and total love. It's able to sit amongst noise and remain totally connected to the Father.

How is God calling you to embrace a new level of quiet and tranquility in devotion and dignity? What does He want to reveal to you at this very moment in your life?
